Pro Paint is a member-owned and operated Aboriginal business. Owner Randy Brown is of Wet’suwet’en and Tsimpshian decent and was born and raised in Terrace, B.C. Randy is a registered member of the Witset First Nation and is part of the Laksilyuclan(Small Frog) Clan. Randy’s father and grandmother are members of Kitsumkalum First Nation.
Randy Brown holds 50% Class A Shares of Pro Paint and 51% Class A Shares of PPC Paint Canada.

Pro Paint’s head office is located in Red Deer, Alberta on the meeting place of Treaty 6 and 7 regions; the traditional territory of the Niisitapi (Blackfoot), the Tsuut'ina, Stoney Nakoda, Cree, Saulteaux and Metis peoples.

  • Ability to work with bands to ensure funding is available for workforce PPE, training requirements & accommodations – if required

  • Offering investment to Indigenous communities to support local suppliers and vendors

  • Investment in scholarships, bursaries, funding, etc.

  • External reporting – we commit to transparency on spending in local communities and bands when requested by clients

  • Environmental – we commit to leaving the land with no trace of our operation and in better condition that when we arrived

This partnership has resulted in the award of a contract to install weld coatings on underground pipe on the LNG Canada Project in Kitimat, B.C.

We actively seek to involve Indigenous people in our workforce, either through direct employment or subcontracting. We believe that providing employment and training opportunities for Indigenous people is not only beneficial for our business but also helps to strengthen the local community.

We also recognize the importance of cultural heritage and traditions. We are committed to respecting and preserving Indigenous cultural heritage and traditions in our work. We take care to ensure that our operations do not disturb any culturally significant sites or artifacts, and we work closely with Indigenous leaders to identify and protect these areas.
